- No matter how I want it, I can't have it. Meaning, I have one week here, in the world as I know, and it seems as if it doesnt really phase my family or best friend. This is how much my family cares about me: for my 21st birthday they all left for the cabin-all weekend. See, a normal twenty-one year old would take advantage of this...but given I have no friends within 30 miles it would be a party of one...a sad sight if the cops showed up...they would arrest me out of pitty..."we'll take ya some place where you'll meet some nice friends" they would say...yeah, nice in a way that I dont want them to be. And now, the weekend before I leave, my family will again will travel up north to the log home. At least my mother will come home to take me to the airport...but my dad says he needs to be up there to tell the painters what to do. I wanted everyone home for dinner monday night, that was the goal...my mom says, "he's just your father, I did not think you really liked him anyway." As for my best friend, well he is just off in his own world of paint, wood and canvas. yeah, he somewhat follows that stereotype of a starving artist, free soul of our ulgy corporatate world. I am that way too, yet I work for Caribou Coffee...that probably would be funnier if I said I work for Starbucks, but I dont.
learn some french: to say "how's everything" one would say, "ca va?" and to reply with "everythings fine" one says "ca va." how much easier can you get?

- first post in a new journal. I am going to attempt the online journal thing again. The first and second attempts were lost due to lack of maitenance. But this journal is special. This journal has an actual purpose- to be the connection between family, friends and stalkers with me while I study and travel in Europe. I hope to be good to it, and I hope others will be good with it....I leave for France in 21 days, its unreal to say because I have not even been across our own country. I know a little French and I am learning a little more everyday. I am going to study in Versailles, a city located 30 minutes outside of Paris. It is historically known for its grand architecture, especially the chateau built up by King Louis XIV which is across the street from my studio. I hope my days are filled with adventures and tales that I can retell here in this journal. Wouldn't it be funny if life there was soo non-exciting and so dull that I would not even be able to write an entry worth writing....lets hope that does not happen.
