yesterday we traveled to another hill town by bus to a smaller hill town yet very touristy. Theyjust bus loads of people in for the day. the main street is completely filled with touristic shops. therefore it was a sort of dissapointment. It was hard to sketch with so many people around, therefore I hiked out into the country to sketch this city from afar. San giminano has a trademark skyline. it has a series of towers that were built by the wealthier families. Not quite so many still stand today, but a few remian to showoff its unique historic forms. I had gelato twice today.
